Spectrum Blossoms
personality meets pixels
Spectrum Blossoms is a digital art series inspired by the four personality colors from Thomas Erikson’s Surrounded by Idiots. These artworks transform the essence of human emotions and behaviors into vibrant, pixelated flowers that celebrate the diversity of personality traits.
Using artificial intelligence, I designed unique blossoms to embody each color—red, blue, green, and yellow. By integrating the techniques I developed in the Zeespiegel installation, alowing these digital flowers to come alive as thousands of shimmering pixels. The result is a captivating fusion of personality and emotion, intricately rendered in pixel-perfect detail.

Zeespiegel is a digital exploration where the sea meets technology, reflecting our inner states through pixels. Inspired by the calming waves of the IJsselmeer and vibrant underwater footage from Curaçao, this installation transforms the beauty of nature into a dynamic, pixelated world.
What started as a personal journey into the meditative power of the ocean has evolved into an immersive, interactive experience. Using Kinect technology, the sea comes to life in 3D, allowing the viewer to move and reshape the visuals, mirroring the balance between serenity and turbulence we all carry within us.
